About

The Little Mumma is:

Angie – 34-year-old mother to two boys under four – attempting to operate with maximum good humour and minimum sleep. FAILING.

I am a full-time mum in search of a cupcake and a lie down.

My sons are beautiful – I wonder how much I could sell them for?

I am altogether unapologetic about my colourful language. Yes, there are infinite possibilities to be found within the pages of a thesaurus but none of them feel quite so satisfying as FUCK, now do they?

OTHER PLAYERS:

B – the head mister of the house. My love, the father of my little loves. My best friend. Also, an idiot.

LD –  Idiot Jnr. But his mother’s clone. 3.5 years old. Annoying. But really pretty. But really annoying. Great hair.

Zee –  Tiny one. Supremely lovable but also, annoying. 1-year-old and ready for anything. Needs to sleep more. Possible favourite.

I write about being a mum. No points for originality. I piss and moan and swear a lot. Again, no points. But what people most often say about The Little Mumma is that I tell it like it is. Hmm, don’t love the cliché but I do believe that I tell the truth in a way that not all that many mums do.

The main thing to remember though, as I refer to my beloved children as ‘the little fucks’ once again, is that THEY ARE MY LIFE. LD and Zee, B and me. Embarrassingly rhymey but our life is the shizz. And I live my life from a place of gratitude – but if I wrote about sunshine and rainbows every day, I fear it would lack meaning or relevance.

So, The Little Mumma is “I LOVE MY LIFE but let me tell you about the million ways my kids tried to ruin it today” – if you can relate, welcome!

Enjoy and leave me a message if you care 🙂

    Hi Angie,
We came across your blog and think you’re a very talented writer. We would love to consider some of your funny kid stories for our collection. We’re a couple of Mom’s who recently launched http://www.HeardonthePlayground.com, a collection of Funny Kid Stories and Hilarious Pictures.

We’ve enjoyed a successful relationship with Mommy Bloggers in the past and are looking to expand upon this partnership by offering free outbound links back to your blog(s) giving you greater visibility to our national audience.

Here are 2 examples of recent posts:

    Eddie, 6 – Ohio
You might guess two people are married if they’re both yelling at the same kids.

    Maggie, 2 – Illinois
One day I was busy in the kitchen and Maggie was whining for dinner. After I had all that I could take, I stopped what I was doing turned to her and said “Will you please cut me some slack?” She looked at me wide-eyed and said with as much conviction, “No, you cut me a snack.”

Send your best stories to AJSherr@comcast.net or go to http://www.HeardonthePlayground.com and post them yourself. Share the laughs.
